THE MOUNTAIN EAGLE . . . WHITESBURG. LETCHER COL NTY, KENTUCKY DELINQUENT TAX NOTICE Jack Banks is ill By CLARINDA BACK therein. I spent Wednesday night with Rebecca Brown. She Isn't feeling to good. I went to church today and after church Mr. and Mrs. Carl Back and I all went home with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Caudlll and ate dinner. We sure did enjoy It. Mr. Jack Banks is real bad in the Whltesburg hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Hayne visited the Les Caudills on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ashley visited Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Caudlll on Sunday. We had a wonderful meeting this weekend at Dixon Memorial. There was a large crowd, and everybody is welcome. Our next meeting, on the 4th Saturday and Sunday In May, will be our memorial meeting. There will be dinner on the grounds on Sunday. Everybody is welcome and Invited to come. This is at the Dixon Memorial Church in Jeremiah. Mr. and Mrs. Bobble Neu-ma- n and family from Richmond visited her father, Mr. and Mrs. Critt Eldridge, this weekend. Mr. Elmer Whitaker was taken to the hospital In Whites-bur- g. He is real sick. We all are praying for you to get well again soon, Elmer. John S. Hampton is in the hospital real sick. We hope all the sick get well soon and can be out in this oretty weather. Ethel Smith and son Tommy Harris and daughters Lillymass Campbell and Mr. and Mrs. Link Blair motored to Lexington Sunday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Blair and family. Mickey Smith and son met them there. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Whi- taker from Maryville, Ky. , visited the Dee Smith family. We send our prayers to all the sick and hope they are well soon. Visiting me Sunday evening were Delia Caudill, Edith Gaud ill, Ivory Irene Caudill and Mike. God Bless You All. Strange dies after long illness Larry Strange, the son of Robert L. and Winnie Mullins Strange, was born July 6, . 1913 and passed from this life on April 22, 1971. Early in life he married Zetta Mae Collier, and to this union were born two daughters. Zetta preceded him in death, and he later married Willie Lee Vander-poo- l, and to this union was born one daughter. He had been ill since Dec. and he bore sickness with patience. He will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his passing his mother, Mrs. Winnie Strange , and his companion, He Mrs. Willie Lee Strange also leaves three daughters; Mrs. Peggy Evanoff, Lexington, Ky. , Mrs. Patty Taylor, Ky. and Mrs. Larry Louise Ross, Akron, Ohio. Eight grandchildren, four brothers; Billy Strange, Robert L. Strange, Jr., Mearl Strange and Lloyd Strange. evn ' sisters; Mrs. Ethel Fleming, Mrs. Myrtle Potter, Mrs. Otlie Ruszola, Mrs. Mary Davis, Mrs. Martha Potter, Mrs. Emma Miller and Mrs. Jean Belcher, besides a host of relations and friends.
